Why We Wear Our Wedding Rings On The 4th Finger

Scientific research has said that it's because the 4th finger's veins are closer to the heart. But I came upon an interesting reason today from the Chinese culture.

Thumb represents your Parents
Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings

Middle finger represents your-Self

Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner

Last (Little) finger represents your children

There's a cool hands and fingers exercise too to prove it. Put your palms together, fingers are touching each other closely. Now, open your thumbs. Easily separated coz no matter how much our parents love us and we love them, we move away eventually. Separate the second fingers, easily done as well since our siblings have their own lives. Do the same thing to the little fingers, the pinkies, represents your children. They will also open easily because our kids will move out of our house and live their lives.

Lastly, try separating your fourth finger. It's a little harder than the other fingers. That's because husbands and wives are inseparable. In short, they're stuck together. Hehehehe. Cool huh?
