White Vinegar in the Garden

White vinegar is one of the more versatile, eco-friendly and affordable super-products around. And while I've used it in cleaning and as a fabric softener, I have yet to take it outside.

CasaSugar shares some great ideas for using vinegar in the garden.

It removes berry stains on your hands.
Clean bird feeders with it. It's nontoxic.
Soak your rusty gardening tools in it.
A water-and-vinegar mixture cleans your patio furniture.
One part vinegar + one part water + spray bottle = dead slugs.
Water acid-loving plants with it (azaleas, hydrangeas).
Kills the weeds and grass growing in the cracks between your patio stones and sidewalks.
Removes mineralization on terracotta pots.
Prolongs the life of cut flowers.
Bye, bye, ant hills.
