When Was The Last Time You Had A Family Movie Weekend?

movie-reel.jpgWith all the Christmas preparations going on these days, it was a surprise that we were able to sit down and go through a DVD list of movies to watch. But then again, this past weekend was supposed to be the time my son and I were going to make our annual Christmas cookies. But, we decided to forego on that and spend quality time as a family by watching movies. Actually, we started our list the week before. We started with Ratatouille. My husband got me The Nanny Diaries per request because I loved the book. Even though I don't really like Scarlett Johansson I watched the movie. I'm glad I did because the movie ended differently than the novel itself. This is one of the few chances where I actually preferred the movie ending compare to the book ending.

Another surprise from my husband was the Jennifer Garner movie Catch and Release. He knows how much I adore Jennifer so he figured I'd love the movie as well.

This weekend we started with Pirates of the Carribean : At World's End. We enjoyed it. None of us fell asleep through the whole thing. The 2nd installment was too long that I really enjoy the whole thing. Afterwards was Santa Klaus 3. While the kids are sleeping, my husband and I watched for the second time BORAT. We both love it. He and I saw it at the movie theater and we're both fans of Sacha Baron Cohen. Then at night we started watching The nativity but everyone fell asleep except me so I was able to finish the movie. And last but not the last, last night while we ate our wings dinner, we watched Night at the Museum.

It was a long week filled with movies and time spent with the family doing nothing. Sometimes that's better than going all over the place, polluting the world with gas and spending too much money :)

Now I'm rushing to make the Christmas cookies. OI!
