Earlier this Summer, I bought a few seeds and small pots to start my venture on "gardening". See, unlike my late-Mother, I can't grow anything. I remember my Mother's garden in my early years of life. About 8 years old. She has the best garden in the neighborhood. She grew all sorts of flowers. Her most loved possession were the orchids. Well, she didn't pass her green thumbs onto me. But I figured I'd try this year. So I bought mostly herbs and easy flower seeds I hoped I could handle. My first try was thyme. I screwed it up, not surprisingly. I put too much soil in it. :( About a fews weeks ago, my ever-so-supportive husband encouraged me to plant the other seeds I bought. I have basil, morning glory, zinnia and Sweet William seeds. He told me to try planting the basil and morning glory so I did with my fingers crossed. Being a supportive husband, he's also made sure I remember to water them. Just last night, he came home from his Army Guard duty and saw how they're looking dry so he asked sarcastically if I was just going to let them wilt to their death. I grabbed a cup, filled it with water and let my plants have their much needed H2O. Here they are this morning :

I'm showing you pictures of their stages right now coz I'm determined to be successful with these plants. I want to you show your proofs that I really planted them once the basil plant is ready for cooking, and the morning glory flowers has bloomed into perfection. With your good wishes and my husband's tough and watchful eye, yet unwavering support, Martha Stewart better watch her back coz Superwoman Dexie has her eyes on the prize :)
Speaking of, I better go water my plants.
