Unmarried , Pregnant Halle Berry, Sending A Bad Message To Kids

Halle Berry was on Oprah the other day and since these two are friends, they've talked about babies, and marriages at the beginning of the show. It's been known that Oprah had made a choice not to get married. Ever. Halle Berry made the same decision after getting a divorce from her second husband. Moving on from that past show, Halle is now pregnant with her model boyfriend. At the recent Oprah show, she mentioned about what she and her boyfriend have decided. You know, having a baby without the piece of paper called marriage license. Big deal, right? Well apparently it is. Coz at the end of the day, I turned on CNN and all of a sudden there were experts on TV dissecting Halle's decion of not getting married and having a baby. They're saying that she's sending a wrong message to out kids. Say whaaattt?? Oprah.com's message board is full of indignant remarks about Halle's decision in life.

Do I need to google the divorce rate from the past 5 years? I'm pretty sure those broken marriages have sent their kids into therapy.

Why must we give Halle Berry or Hollywood per se the responsibility to parent our kids. Is this another case of us not looking in the mirror and just blaming everyone else for our parenting skills? Coz you know before Halle Berry got pregnant, no woman in the '60s(just throwing that year in here) and in the progressing years have gotten pregnant without being married. *Roll eyes*

It's not Halle's fault that you refuse to sign a permission slip for a sex education class for your child. Nor is it her fault that you're too busy doing who knows what that you've neglected to tell your teenager not to jump in the backseat of a car and have sex without a condom.

It's not Halle's fault that your daughter's college education fund you worked so hard for since the day you decided to have children ended up in a Girls Gone Wild Spring Break video.

Is it Halle's fault that you're too afraid to talk about sex with your kids. The consequences and the responsibilities that goes with it. It's not Halle's job. She's not the parent of your child so don't give her your responsibility. Halle is a 40 year old woman who I'm assuming has gotten through a lot to get pregnant since she has lived with diabetes all her life. I'm not a medical expert but from my experience with my second pregnancy where I had gestational diabetes, it was hard. I had to really watch everything. So imagine a woman like Halle who's had to deal with Diabetes all her life.

Her 2 marriages failed. The first one allegedly physically abused her. The second one cheated on her with a prostitute coz well he apparently has a sex addiction. Halle Berry has been through a lot. She found someone whom she can build a family with, so what if they're not married. It's her choice. I'm a married woman. I got married before having children. Hopefully my children will get married first before giving me grandchildren but that's me, us. I'm not about to judge someone for taking a different path.

There's a lot of married couples with children who end up screwiing their kids up eventually so why is a non existent marriage license on Halle's life matter? Or anyone else for that matter. Britney Spears got married before having kids. We all know where that went, as we speak actually. So please people, give Halle Berry a break and stop putting Hollywood on a pedestal.

Be responsible and be the role model for your children. That's all.
