This past week, I participated in the moving of some furniture. Okay, so I mostly just held doors open and carried cushions, but still. You understand. One of the most frustrating parts of furniture-rearranging for a perfectionist like myself are the dents left behind in the carpet. You see, when I invite you over, I don't want you to know that I just moved my couch. I want you to believe that I have the gift of perfect first-time placement .
The folks over at Apartment Therapy have come to the carpet rescue. Apparently, there's a super-simple solution: ice cubes.
* Drop an ice cube into each carpet indentation
* Leave them there until they melt
* Blot up the wet spots and fluff
I need to know if this works. But my place is hardwood (the moving adventure was at someone else's pad). So if anyone tries this, let me know. Please. This could be life-changing.
