I know that the problem of not having enough time in a day to get everything done is not limited to moms (or even women for that matter). So here are some tips to shave a few seconds/minutes/hours off of some of your chores:
•Searching for missing socks in the washing machine, dryer, behind the dryer… Safety pin them together or throw them in a lingerie bag – no more disappearing socks.
•You get your kids settled in for a movie but it won’t stop skipping or freezing (sticky jam fingers are most likely the culprit). To save your free time and the movie run under some hot water and rub with some detergent. Hey, if it isn’t working anyway it’s worth a shot, right?
•Love the trick about not losing anymore socks but you don’t know what to do with the mismatched pairs you already have? Use them as dusting gloves, put one on your hand and eliminate the need of removing everything from the shelves.
•Invest in an oven that will keep your food cold all day until you e-mail it to begin cooking! It’s on my wish list.
What are some of your time-saving tips?
