The Myspace Mayor Picture Controversy

That's Oregon Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist who posted pictures of her wearing her underwear in her Myspace profile. Now some of her constituents are asking her to resign. The Mayor's profile can only be seen by her friends but there was an instance when everyone was able to view it.

Her defense is that it's her personal life. The pictures were taken 3 years before she became the Mayor and she didn't see anything wrong with them being posted online.

True, it's her personal life but there's a thin line there that shouldn't be crossed. I just think a responsible adult running a town shouldn't be posting pictures of herself wearing undies. I'm no prude by any means but she should've been more responsible. Here we are trying to tell our teenagers not to expose themselves like that online, meanwhile there's a town official doing it.
