Remember when the Dollar stores first came out...and well, everything was $1?
What exactly happened? Because these days going into a Dollar store has me wondering if the name 'Dollar' has maybe had it's day in the sun.
I know the Ten Dollar store doesn't have quite the same ring, but at least you'd be leaving thinking that you got a deal if you happened to find a few things that were less than $10.
As it is I usually leave a Dollar store feeling ripped off because none of the items I bought were a buck. (I guess I have good taste as far as goods mass produced in Bangladesh are concerned...)
My kids always want to hit the dollar store, which is cheaper than hitting Lululemon, but I still end up spending way more dollars than items we have.
Maybe I should do my bargain shopping at garage sales. I might get more bang for my buck...
Figuring it out as I go,
-Lesli
