The Bug Cycle And Politics

Don't you just hate it when the cold bug shows up at your house? It starts from one member, goes on to the next family member, and eventually you get it yourself. That's what's been going on in my household. First it was the husband. He had it for a week. Then my son caught it. The baby got it the following week. And now I have it. The bad thing is, my son is still not over it. He's been home 2 days from school nursing his cold. The baby is almost over hers but still has the sniffles. I hate being sick. But I hate it even more that the baby is sick and can't take any cold medicine because of all the recalls. Don't get me started on those Infant cold medicine recalls. Some stupid folks abuse it so the rest of us that don't have to suffer. Are you ready for a rant? Well here it goes...

The truth is, the government want us to take our kids to their pediatricians. Wait at the reception room for 3 hours, with other sick children so by the time you get out of there you and your child are even more sick that when you first arrived. Not to mention, you've just wasted 3 hours of your time for the Pediatrician to tell you to buy something expensive from the Pharmacy. 1 month later, you get a bill from your Pediatrician for that wasted 3 hour visit. Your deductibles don't cover all your Doctor's visit. Somehow, there's a loophole in the system. Oooh. US Medicare is such a freaking joke. They're all about money. It's not about helping people at all.

While our children's health care looks like crap, there's Bush asking the Congress to approve a $3 Trillion for "defense" budget. Sure, let's send more money to Iraq where our soldiers die every day, in the meantime, let our hardworking citizens pay taxes on everything and get scraps in return.
