The Big Wild

You and your family can work to ensure at least half of Canada's wilderness is protected forever. That's according to The Big Wild.

Founded by CPAWS (the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) and Mountain Equipment Co-op, the organization supports wilderness conservation campaigns across Canada. The Big Wild is "you and me, and every person across Canada and around the world who cares about conserving our environment."

Are you up for The Big Wild Challenge? The organization invites you to dedicate your next wilderness trip to protecting our Big Wild places. The challenge categories are The Big Wild Epic, The Big Wild Adventure and The Big Wild Family Affair. Families are challenged to set an achievable goal, bringing everyone together for at least 24 hours and camping in an accessible place. (No iPods, video games or Internet!).
