Teen Cheerleader Died After Breast Surgery

dead-teen-cheerleader.jpg
A teen cheerleader from South Florida died after getting a corrective breast surgery procedure. Reports state that Stephanie Kuleba most probably had a genetic reaction to the anesthesia.
Kubela's reaction was likely due to a genetic condition known as malignant hyperthermia, which disrupts the body's metabolism, causing high fever and heart failure, doctors told TODAY's Mark Potter.

Dr. Richard D'Amico, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, told TODAY that the reaction can happen during any surgery. "The body reacts in a very rare, but very devastating way to very common, very useful anesthesias."

She was 18, what is she doing getting breast surgeries? But then again that's a stupid question right? This should serve a lesson to all those young women contemplating on getting the "perfect" breasts. Be happy with what you are blessed with. If it really bothers you that much, wait. Just wait. For the right age to go under the knife. If there is even a right age at all. But then again I don't know if waiting would work if a reaction to anesthesia was the cause. Instead of working on what you look like try working on something else. Something productive. Something that will help you enhance your brain, not your chest. Quick fixes are never a good thing. Respect yourself.

That's all I can say right now.

Actually, her surgery wasn't to make them look perfect -- it was to make them look "normal" because they weren't symmetrical and her nipples were inverted.

I don't believe that it was purely cosmetic.

I get the inverted nipples part but not being able to wait for breasts to be "normal" is a really sad issue in my opinion. Unless having asymmetrical breasts is such a health hazzard then the surgery could have waited.
