A few years ago, I created a recipe box for my younger brother for Christmas. He was moving out on his own, and I knew he'd appreciate copies of the classic family recipes (along with some of the fun ones I'd discovered since living solo and experimenting in a rather tiny kitchen). And last year, my aunt scanned my grandmother's recipes and created files for the family to ensure that our beloved dishes would not disappear with my grandmother's generation.
Enter Tastebook.
"Brilliant" best describes how I feel about this site, as I've always wanted to write a book (and a cookbook is probably a great place to start, considering I love food). Simple upload your recipes, or search for new ones online, add your own thoughts and commentary, select design elements, upload photos, and you have yourself a custom and professional-looking cookbook. Order copies for yourself and family, or promote it, sell it, and seek culinary fame.
Signing up is free. As is the creation process. So head on over, play around with the endless options, and start fantasizing about becoming Julia Child. Or Nigella Lawson. Or Martha....
(P.S. I signed up, and they sent me free recipes. So it's just one big happy win-win-win.)
