SuperWoman Tips : Winter-Driving Essentials

I hope it's not too late to prepare yourself for your winter drive this year. I remember going through this for 8 years. Tough but if you have the winter-driving essentials, you and your family should be alright. From ALLYou magazine, here are important things to have with you before heading out to face a snow-filled travel.

Snacks -- high energy munchies such as granola bars or nuts. Don't forget bottles of water too.

Blankets -- Have a few blankets or sleeping bags in the trunk of your car. They'll keep you warm and of course to prepare you for a storm.

Winter Wear -- Extra gloves and mittens, hat, scarves and socks wouldn't hurt either.

Flashlight -- One of this in the glove compartment is a must. Don't forget to check the batteries.

Bad-Weather Kit -- GEt one of the kits that has an ice scraper, small shovel, snow brush, booster cables and a first-aid kit with a pocket knife.

Sand -- Fill a large ziplock bag with sand and store it in the trunk. This will come in handy when you tried need traction.
