If you've been out shopping in the malls lately, you'll have noticed that some of the slogans on kids' t-shirts are downright rude and demeaning.
I don't know about you, but my 10 year old daughter isn't going to be sporting a tee that reads, "You're my Date?", "Princess and Proud of it", or "I Asked for it, I Begged for it, I Whined for it, and now I have it!". What a waste of material.
Generally, we steer away from the t-shirts with sayings, unless they say something worth advertising.
My daughter has purchased items from New Moon. If you're looking for an awesome influence for your daughter check out New Moon Magazine. Their magazine and website are all about girls and their dreams, which works for this mom!
Another good website to check out is p.s. tees.
Do you think some of the clothes you see in the mall cross the line as far as what you think a young girl should be wearing?
Figuring it out as I go,
- Lesli
