When your child goes away to university or college, it can be tough on everyone. No doubt, it's a transitional time for parents and students.
In a recent issue of Macleans magazine, I read a brilliant little Student Survival Guide 2008 for students and parents. "Leaving home and starting university or college, can be one of the most exhilarating times of your life," says the guide. "For sure, it can be daunting, but you're not alone. There are many resources available to you and your parents."
The guide includes sections on Life in Residence, Keeping Your Grades Up, Staying Healthy, Finances and more.
