Pink and Green Ribbon Program

"Love Your Planet. Love Your Body. Love Your Life."
That's the mantra of the Pink and Green Ribbon Health Program. Three Alberta woman decided they don't accept the current statistics and predictions for breast cancer and want to do something about it. So they launched the Pink and Green Ribbon Health Fund. What do their pink and green colours mean to them?

"Pink = our commitment to creating breast-cancer free communities through promoting healthy breast education and focusing on prevention."

"Green on the underside of this pink ribbon reflects our stand for addressing the connection between the environment and women's health. Our commitment to stopping cancer before it starts involves cleaning up and caring for our planet."

The 2008 Pink and Green Ribbon Campaign - April 20 to May 27 (Rachel Carson Day) - will include a Yogathon, Healthy Breast Workshops and a Rachel Carson Walk.
