Organic grocery food shopping is an ongoing (mis)adventure. The more organic foods I consume, the healthier I feel though so it's well worth the effort.
No doubt, the often higher costs scare some people off organic products. But the prices are definitely going down. There are more natural food stores cropping up and more mainstream grocery stores carry organic foods and even their own organic brands.
Becoming a savvy organic consumer takes time, experimentation and research. Ask around for organic tips from family, friends and co-workers. Compare prices at different natural food stores vs. your local grocery store. I'm constantly researching online, seeking new organic products from dog biscuits to instant coffee. (Mount Hagen is superb!)
