I've discovered an amazing eco-friendly, cost-saving laundry item - Nellie's Dryerballs.
Since I began using them, I've reduced our household electricity bills and allergic reactions to fabric softeners.
North Vancouver company Batten Industries creates the product it calls "a safe, toxic free and environmentally friendly way to soften your laundry."
The way Dryerballs work is the plastic balls tumble around in the dryer lifting and separating fabrics. This allows air to flow more efficiently which reduces drying time up to 25 per cent. The Dryerball's nodules apparently also relax fibers during the drying cycle which could make clothes feel softer.
The Dryerballs are part of the company's Nellie's Laundry series of products that also includes Laundry Soda and Laundry Nuggets. Check out and order Dryerballs Online.
