More Children

As I mentioned in my first post back, I am pregnant with my third child. As the due date approaches I don't feel nervous or overwhelmed in the least by adding another person to our family. This was definitely not the case when we made the jump from having only 1 child to 2 children.

I'm wondering if this is my brain's way of not wanting to deal with the fact that I am going to have three children soon or if it really isn't that much more of an adjustment to go from 2 children to 3. Ofcourse it is going to increase our monthly expenses (3 teenage boys are in my future - I might have to ask for donations to cover our grocery bills), but that is my biggest concern and it is still years away.

Maybe the reason people still have families with 4 or 5 children is because they know a little secret the rest of us don't - is it easier to have more than to have less? This isn't necessarily a theory I plan on testing out but I can see how it could prove true. I know a family that has 10 children and you will never see a more close-knit bunch. The older children looking out for and helping the younger ones automatically, their parents don't have to say anything.

How many children do you have (if any) and what do you think about it getting easier the more you have?
