More About The DISC Profile Personality Test

Dominance, Inducement, Submission and Compliance or popularly known as DISC is a theory that was created through the research and study of psychologist William Marston, who also happens to be the creator of Wonder Woman. Through his observations Marston was able to conclude that people have different DISC profile types that can be distinguished through taking the DISC test and getting the DISC assessment – he concluded that everything DISC reveals is related to how a person feels as it matches with their current environment.

DISC at Work

A great tool used to determine the qualities and characteristics of employees, companies take the time to determine the DISC profile of their personnel and staff especially when the work environment is relatively a large group. It enables the employers to get a glimpse as to how certain employees will be able to work with others in their different teams or departments. It is also a great means to be able to know the employees and staff members that can be considered from higher posts and if they can handle bigger tasks for the company.

DISC at School

Students are often much pressured and are served with so many challenges that leave them often very stressed from the many different factors that they have to overcome. Through the DISC personality tests teachers and other school personnel are able to consider what to provide for the student in terms of communal activities or as individual activities. Schools are able to counsel the students to see if they are comfortable enough to adapt to the many pressures of school activities and it is also very useful to see if a student specifically needs more attention and help.

DISC in Everyday Living

Determining the DISC personalities are a helpful way to be able to realize how to deal with the different scenarios that happen in life. The many instances that happen in life are often not that ideal and being aware of personal feelings and how the environment constantly changes opens up a bigger picture for people. Through the DISC theory people will become more self aware and learn to accept the stance of a regularly changing environment.
