
'Tis the season for apples. And comfort food. And candy.
Why not try making your own caramel apples? And if you, like me, have often hesitated at the idea of questionable ingredients (or the finicky unwrapping of countless caramels) in the making of your candied treats, you'll love the recipe over at 101 Cookbooks. All you need is heavy cream, sea salt, and honey.
From 101 Cookbooks. All you need:
6 - 8 small apples, unwaxed, cold 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1 cup honeySpecial equipment: candy thermometer, and lollipop sticks
Makes 6 - 8 caramel apples.
