I know, it's hard to believe!
My washing machine recently broke down for 3 weeks, yes, you read correctly - 3 weeks! At first I was quite alarmed at the prospect of not being able to wash clothes at will. I was sure the clothes would pile up and that I would be facing days of washing machine catchup once the problem was corrected.
I quickly went into Plan B mode (Plan A being having a washing machine that worked!) I told the kids and husband that they had to wear all of their clothes 3-5 times minimum, unless something was really soiled.
In the end I only washed about 4 loads in 3 weeks while my washing machine was out of commission. This has made me seriously consider all of the time I spend washing clothes. If I really don't have to be washing clothes so much, then what in the world am I doing it for?
Good question, eh? Is it just me, or do you also think you're washing too many clothes too often?
Figuring it out as I go,
- Lesli
