This picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt while frolicking on the beach to celebrate her recent engagement in Hawaii has been doing rounds online. I'm sure some of you have seen it and heard about how some people are calling Jennifer Love Hewitt fat. It has taken me until today to write about it because I wanted to have a clear head regarding the matter. Jennifer has spoken and is outraged that she's being called fat when she's not. She doesn't want young girls out there to get the bad message from all these negative comments about her body. She happens to love her body. But of course, insecure people are projecting their low self-esteem towards someone because the truth is, they're unhappy with themselves. So instead of fixing their own problems, they're picking on another celebrity who looks normal. So she has cellulites, who cares? So she's not size double-0? It's unbelievable how some people have this "ideal" size in their minds. Yup, this is the world we're living in. A happy and confident woman enjoying a day at the beach with her fiancee, who happens to look amazing in a skimpy bikini gets called fat because she's doesn't have bones sticking out all over the place. But then again, if that was the case, she's going to be called and pointed at and be on the next cover of a tabloid magazine as a poster child for "thin hollywood".
Seriously, you can't win with the tabloids or unhappy and insecure people who gets a kick out of celebrities "imperfection" just so they can justify how sucky their own lives are.
Well, I guess I haven't calmed my nerves down yet, huh?

People remember JLH as a skinny 18 year old from Party of Five. People expect her to keep that same figure. Well I say she looks as beautiful as ever. As a 30 year old male I appreciate the body of a mature woman. It is the way women should look.
Those people are crazy. They don't know the difference between what's fat and what's not. She's just a curvaceous woman. Good for her!
I think people are so used to seeing skeletal women in the media, that when they see a healthy girl like Jennifer, they comment on her being fat.
She is an obviously healthy girl, looks happy and has healthy skin and hair.
People who make catty and unecessary remarks like this, tend to be very insecure and/or jealous.
I'm sure Jennifer is comfortable in her skin and wouldn't think twice about idiotic comments by unknowns.
Personally, I think JLH is sexier now! I am getting tired of beanpole chicks being flaunted everywhere. There is such a thing as too skinny. I know a number of women who would KILL to be a "2". There is no way anyone should be calling her 'fat'.

She is paid MILLIONS of dollars to look her best at all times. If I was paid what she was paid...I'd be on a treadmill 8 hours a day. She signed on to be a celebrity and all the fame and glory and scrutiny that goes along with it. She is FAT and that is why you haven't seen or heard about her on TV or in Movies. End of story. And boo hoo that people are making fun of her...then she can give back her fame and millions...and live like a civilian...happy AND fat.

What made me mad is that JLH said she's a 2, when she's CLEARLY a 6 or more (in any way, she's not a 2)!! She claims to support "curves", yet she lies about her own size. Stupid!
As a man, I might offer a different but tactfull perspective. JLH is an actress which exudes an otherworldly beauty and sensuality. Her body type defines a real woman who has curves.
She has always been at the top of my list of gorgeous actresses to grace us with her presence ont the screen. And for that, I thank her.

Yaya you'll say then don't model, but it's more of a healthy goal and still... yes she looks bigger than her best on film but who the fuck CARESSS... i know she'd hop back in shape for a next film. Its about balance, knowing when you can enjoy life and the delicious food you eat versus getting tight for a shoot/film. All of it can be very easily done at the right time. There's no use in comparing, this is how fit-ass girls live- work your ASS off 5+ dys/week and notice your food intake. Sorry to anyone who isn't strong enough to do this and live your life.

If that's what you guys are calling fat these days well I must be huge. I'm for sure not the skinniest girl in my 8th grade class. I weight 123 yeah alot eh? Well guess what!! I have the same size chest as her!! And she's 29!!! JLH is beautiful and even if she is fat she is still beautiful. She is my role-model!!

A healthy person looks like they eat right, and exercise. There is a difference between "stick thin" or emaciated and healthy.
Jessica Biel is "healthy". Jessica Biel is not stick thin, nor is she flabby and carrying around 15 or 20 extra pounds as JLH is here.
I understand that many of you want to eat your McDonalds and watch soap opera's all day and still be considered "healthy" or "sexy".
Put down the bon-bons and do some strength training and cardio, and you'll finally experience what "healthy" feels like.

Those are natural curves, folks. And they are freakin' cool.
Evolution is fluid. Different genes/bodies have different ways of approaching survival and reproduction.
For example, I have sit in my office without routine exercise for 3 years. This July, I hike 6 miles up 2000 feet. The next day, my legs were kind of tired. Not very tired, kind of tired. I felt nothing after 2 days. In the meantime, when I hit the stairs at work, my legs seemed to say "bring it on, we want more." This is because of my genes, and the fact that age hasn't caught up with them in this area yet.
Different people can maintain muscle tone in different places with almost no exercise. Likewise with padding and curves. Take a sampling of people who have suffered from anorexia and they will tell you about areas of their bodies which never lost weight, or did only when they were deathly ill.
However, having said that people cannot totally control the paddedness of their physique, JLH is not even overly padded. Her curves are inevitably based on her skeletal structure.
Physicians will tell you, girls, do not concern yourself except with belly fat, and take even that with a grain of salt.
If jennifer is fat then I am jobba da hut. I meen come on people today are messed up in the head sure I wish I still had the body I had when I was 18 240 pounds and 220 of it being muscle but but when I quite body building and playing football and my recent injury that keeps me from even working out you loose a little muscle and gain a lot of fat I am know 260 and realy need to loose at lest 40 pounds but I realy dont see my self as fat. I think most people are just shallow way to shallow. I think jennifer is beutiful and these so called super models today make me sick to the stomach they look like there deathly ill. In my mind being as skinny as some of the supermodels we have today is as unatractive as severe obesity. Some people make you ashamed that you share the same species in common. Most of the people who enjoy pointing out peoples flaws will most likely spend the majority of their lives partnerless as they lack the basic skills needed to get along in life. She's not fat but she is overweight in that picture. People are so used to obese people that now overweight people are called "normal". Well to be honest she could lose 6 pounds and still be a healthy thin--so what does that mean?--it means shes 6 pounds overweight. Any weight above what it takes to maintain a healthy thin body is called overweight, but in a society that is stretching out sizes while keeping the same number on the tag, no one dares agree with me.

I agree with dj41326. I'm a guy and I really appreciate the beauty of a more classical woman who has an actual figure; its a shame that we can look at this wonderful renaissance art in galleries and not actually see that the women are a little round or pudgey and are still beautiful.

I think your completely right, it's unbelievable how society perceives things these days. The girl is a size 2, in what universe is that considered fat? I happen to think she is one of the most beautiful actresses out there at the moment and quite frankly have lost all hope in human nature, we wonder why so many young girls become anorexic and bulimic... Here we are staring at it in the face!! When will it stop? I just wanna say I admire JLH for having the confidence to love who she is and not feel pressured to be anything but herself... In my mind, she is the definition of a role model!
