I Wear My SuperWoman Badge Proudly!

superwoman_icon1.jpgThis past weekend, we found ourselves in the Air Force Base commissary parking lot hurriedly changing the kids clothes. They were wearing their "picture day" outfits hours before that. I packed them an everyday outfit, more comfortable for the day's weather. Anyway, after my husband helped my son out, he went over to my side to help me out with our 13 month old baby. By that time, I was ready to put her shoes on. Hubby took the left shoe while I have the right shoe. I was holding the baby with my left hand. While he worked on the left foot, using both hands, I with my right hand worked on her right foot. I finished putting it on way before him. He looked at me, in the middle of his huffing coz well, the baby was being uncooperative and said, "WOW!, you did that with one hand, and you were way ahead of me".

I reciprocated with, "I'm a Momma, that's what I do". I mean that's all I could think of at that moment.

Multitasking, that's what mothers do. We could talk on the phone while we pick up toys from all over the place. Sometimes even when doing dishes, we're on the phone. We could carry our child on one hand, attached to the other hip, while we shop or whatever else we could think of doing just to save time. Or pick up anything on the floor with our monkey toes when both our hands are also doing other chores.

We wear different hats which makes us Superwoman, and proud of it.
