
I'm a transit girl. Which means I don't drive. In the city, there's really no need for a vehicle. And while I'm content to be squished on a bus, this warm weather quite excites me. I equate summer with the opportunity to walk everywhere. Well, in theory, anyway. On days when the humidity subsides a bit (or, as of late, the thunderstorms let up), I can walk for hours, soaking up the beauty of non-wintery grossness and breathing non-stuffy subway air.
While the city sidewalks provide plenty of entertaining sights and sounds, nothing beats the rugged, non-paved great outdoors. Chatelaine has listed Canada's top trails for trekking this summer. So if you get the chance, check out:
