I'm constantly reading about eating healthy foods especially local and organic. Recently, I came across a brilliant Canadian source - the Create a Movement campaign by the Government of Alberta.
The Alberta website has loads of helpful tips on health prevention and support, living with health and mental and physical health.
One of my fave features is the wallet-size Nutrition Facts grocery shopping card. It outlines one healthy food with %Daily Values in Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Trans Fat, Cholestrol, Sodium, Fibre, Sugar and Protein.
There are so many simple yet inspiring everyday ideas like school lunch Mexican Salad in a bag and Layered Lunch Salad. Another excellent section is foods for slumber parties including pumpkin pancakes, frozen grapes and english muffin pizzas.
Check out the Create A Movement website.
