Bonnie Stern is one of my all-time fave Canadian food personalities. She operates the Bonnie Stern School of Cooking. Stern has hosted two national television shows and now writes a weekly column for the National Post.
She is the author of 12 bestselling cookbooks. Her cookbooks, particularly Heart Smart, have been faithful companions in my kitchen.
The latest Bonnie Stern cookbook is Friday Night Dinners coming out in October. Although, I don't usually like cooking on Friday nights, her new book might inspire me.
"Friday night dinner is the perfect way to start the weekend," says Random House Canada. "There are menus for every season and occasion: holidays and barbecues, fast suppers and fabulous feasts - and Bonnie makes sure you can pull off memorable meals and still enjoy the food and fun with everyone else."
The book is chock full of over 170 recipes including Italian dinner, 100-mile diet dinner, vegetarian dinner, al fresco dinner, Rosh Hashanah and more.
Check it out here.
