Fight That Ketchup Stain

tips_icon.pngIt's time for Tips and Tricks again. Remember when I shared with you how to remove mud, red wine and ballpoint pen stains thanks to All You magazine? Well, here's another installment for you and this time it's all about getting rid of that Ketchup stains. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets frustrated when ketchup ends up in their children's shirts.

When it happens, I usually run the cold water then lightly wet the spot, also with a little bit of soap and wash the area by scrubbing the fabric against each other. Just around the stained spot.

Here are some tips from All You readers that you might find useful.

From Kim, Bunker Hill, West Virginia, USA
"Grab a bottle of cheap shampoo and pour it on the area; allow it to soak for about an hour. Rinse thoroughly and if the stain is still there repeat. Then wash as usual. This works on all kinds of protein stains, like blood and grass too"

From Libbie, Paola, Kansas, USA
"If ketchup drips onto clothing, it's best to let it dry first. this will make it gel up and be easy to pick off with your fingers without leaving any real mess"

I hope my tip and the other tips will help you one in fighting that darn ketchup stains. If you have your own way in removing the stain, please feel free to let us know. Thanks.
