Cute Girls, Here They Come!

A few months ago, before school ended, my son got in trouble at school regarding his behavior. It wasn't from causing troubles. It was because of a girl. Apparently, a girl at his class was staring at him. He didn't like it so he yelled at the girl. Poor little thing. At home, I explained to him that maybe she likes him. He asked how I knew that. I informed him that Mom used to be a girl and when a girl likes a boy she usually stares at him. He just thought it was silly. Fast forward to last Saturday night during our dinner at Bob Evans, funny thing happened. I was enjoying my potatoe-crusted flounder when I looked at my son sitting in front of me who was himself enjoying his plate of penne pasta, I saw him giving the little girl behind me a "what" hand gesture with a huge smile painted on his face. I looked at the girl behind me and she had a huge smile herself. It was the cutest thing in the world when they realized they've been caught flirting with each other. But of course they don't know what flirting means and doesn't exactly know that that was what they were doing.

This is all cute and all but what do I tell my son about girls? I usually tell little girls not to pay attention to boys yet coz "boys stink" :). So what about girls? Do they stink as well? I know they could be maniupulative as hell(I should know *wink*) but hey I could also consider that as a plus quality, hah. I wonder if girls have something to do with my son asking me to make do in my promise of giving him my old cellphone when I get my new one. He's 9. OI VEY!
