Gingerbread houses are fun, nostalgic holiday creations and great centerpieces (if you can keep curious hands and mouths away), but they entail a lot of work. But if you want a simpler solution that still allows you to decorate an adorable edible house, never fear, Martha Stewart is here. As always.
Check out her Cookie Cottages. Swap out the gingerbread for graham crackers and you've got no-bake buildings perfect for covering with sugar in all its various forms.
There's even a video with easy do-as-I-do instructions.
There are six cottage variations on the site, but feel free to experiment with your own designs. And yes, this is a very kid-friendly activity for a snowed-in afternoon.
