Canada Day is fast approaching. And with the holiday comes family picnics, backyard barbecues, and casual neighborhood parties. We're celebrating our nation. And summer. And eating (one of the best things to do in our nation during the summer).

The folks over at Kraft Canada have great menu ideas for the big day (or weekend, if you're like me and like to stretch holidays into the longest weekends possible). Not just a recipe site, there are various menu options, decorating ideas, invitation inspirations and activities listed. So be sure to check it out. The best way to enjoy the holiday is to keep it simple and stress-free. Forget hassle. Embrace delicious, easy-to-prepare eats. And maybe this cake.

They even have an instructional video for the above sure-to-impress dessert. They won't leave you stranded in your kitchen, confused and frustrated. Which is why you should have the site bookmarked. Because Kraft will save you. Over and over again.

So dig out the gingham tablecloths, stock up on sparklers, and go crazy with red and white icing (Cupcake decorating is a fun, slightly messy way to involve the kids. But it's summer. Sticky fingers is part of the deal). And happy Canada Day, superwomen!
