Besides playing board games or card games, another activity my son and I love to do is cooking. Especially the sweet treats like cookies and cupcakes. You know, the good stuff :). He actually looks forward to Christmas because we get to make sugar cookies and that means he could roll out the dough, cut the shapes and decorate the cookies as colorful as he likes. Of course, how fun is it to lick the dough after everything is mixed? :).

Even the baby gets to be in on the action. A taste test on Big Brother's creation perhaps? :)
Here are some recipes you could make with your kids:
White Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut Butter - Chocolate Chip Cookies
Butterscotch Cupcakes
Popcorn Balls

I tried bonding with my grandson, Jacob, through cooking too. I let him handle the dough for the pizza but he insisted on working with the flour. Get the picture? But it was fun.! Thanks for sharing your kids' bonding time with you. Somehow it brings back memories of my own (young) motherhood years.
