Back-to-school Solar Backpacks

Grassroots is one of my fave Canadian stores for environmental products. Back-to-school shopping can be fun here too.

I'm particularly excited about their Solar Backpack that will keep your small electronics operating with solar power. It's designed for students, mobile commuters, travellers and outdoors enthusiasts. (Sign me up!)

The Solar Backpack uses the same 12V automotive charging adapter you would use to charge your cell phone by plugging into your car's lighter. The backpack can recharge electronic devices including cell phones, PDAs, GPS unit, AA batteries, iPods and MP3 players. So a cell phone's battery plugged into the backpack could stay charged for casual commutes or long hikes.
