When someone is talking to you, do you listen to what they're saying? Like, really listen?
Or do you fight the urge to add your 2 cents worth, or tell a tale about yourself?
As soon as you feel like you have something to say, when someone is talking, then you're not really listening anymore. You're waiting to interject with your thoughts.
I wonder what it would be like to listen to people for a day, without adding my take on their point of view, but just listening to what they were saying. Maybe just nodding my head encouragingly...
I'm gonna try it tomorrow, I'll let you know if it was hard to do, or not...
Figuring it out as I go,
- Lesli
