Admiring Maude

I admire Canadian author and environmentalist Maude Barlow.

Among her many achievements, she founded Blue Planet Project, an international movement to protect the world's fresh water supply. Six years ago, she published the bestseller Blue Gold: The Fight To Stop The Corporate Theft of The World's Water. This year, she gave us Blue Covenant: The Global Water Crisis and the Coming Battle for the Right to Water.

Recently, Barlow earned the Citation of Lifetime Achievement at the Canadian Environment Awards 2008.
