A Superwoman Mission - No More Guilt

What is the best way to get rid of guilt? Bury it in a guilt graveyard. Write it out, post it and then forget about it.

You can go to the link and bury your guilt along with the other woman at iVillage or post it right here!

The guilt I am freeing myself from:

I write from home and have two small boys who are constantly clamouring for my attention. I feel guilty when I have to tell them I can't play right when they ask because I have to work. I hate the sad looks. But, I have to remember that I am partly doing this for them - if I didn't take time during the day to write, I would have to go back to my 9-5 job and then I wouldn't see them through the day at all.

I have tried to do all my writing at night and that just makes for a very grumpy mommy. I am letting go of my guilt of not playing with them everytime they ask and appreciating the moments in the day that I do shut down the computer to go outside play.

What do you feel guilty about? Let us know and then let it go.

My guilt is a bad dinner. I'm not talking mac n cheese from a box... I am talking bare minimum (cereal? Sure. ice cream and a pbj sandwich? OK) so I can get some writing done or because I lost track of time working. Poor planning I know but it happens. There are some days the last thing I want to do is be nutritious and healthy and don't have the energy to put forth to obtain a healthy meal.

I recently dropped a confession over at http://creepyconfessions.com (though mine wasn't really "creepy," haha). It's not a supportive place to unload guilt (everything is anonymous, so you have your folks who like to browse around and leave rude comments on certain confessions), but there are lots of different confession categories and you can leave it and forget it.

Good for you for getting rid of that guilt!

Oh Nikki - the dinners I have made last minute because of a deadline are atrocious. But they are always the ones my son likes the most LOL
