A Movie and A Chocolate Fudge Torte Night

Last night was a week-long coming. It started when my husband promised my son last week that "if you don't drive your Mother crazy while I'm at work, then you can have the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie DVD". . Can I just say that the following day my son came up to me and said, "Daddy said if I don't drive you crazy for 4 days I'll get the DVD". Yes, 4 days. I'm still trying to investigate the 4 days figure he came up with because apparently after that 4 days all hell will break lose again. But as it is a known fact in our family that our son could argue his way out of a lawsuit if need be in the future the way he comes up with long debated defense towards his actions, those 4 days are long gone therefore his father bought the DVD last night. Along with the evil chocolate fudge torte that you'll see below. He thought we could all watch the movie while we eat dinner, then have some devilish dessert afterwards.

The movie was good. Well as good as animation movies for kids can be expected. The character April suddenly became a second rate version of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar. My husband and I tried to decipher the not so recognizable voices. Even the 11 month old baby partook in the movie night sitting in her high-chair while I fed her dinner. And of course the dessert. I don't know know which one we enjoyed most. The Ninja Turtles listening to a Rat "Splinter", spending a family quality time by dining in the living room or our huge slices of chocolate fudge torte. Eh, either one would do. We should do it again. Maybe with another kind of dessert and a Mommy chick flick next time :) . Here's the dessert one more time :) .
